Oh the places you'll go!
Oh the places you'll go! The Museum of Science has some great exhibits for us to check out (thanks Annie).
The first one we should go see is CATCHING THE WIND. This exhibit is on wind as an alternative energy source. An example of how science could "save us."
Another exhibit is called THE FRONTIERS OF BIOTECHNOLOGY "Throughout history, we have been breeding crops and animals to our advantage and harnessing microorganisms to make bread, cheese, and wine. Now, armed with an ever-growing knowledge of the processes of life, we're curing diseases, creating new drugs, and genetically modifying foods."
SUN POWER "Sunlight is the world' s largest energy resource, and more energy in the form of sunlight reaches Earth every hour than humans consume in a year. In this exhibit, visitors can learn how we can make use of all of this energy."
It would also be great to speak with someone who works at the museum for more background information.

It's great to see how this group is coming together already!
Nice job!
i think we should learn about like nuclear power as something that is dangerous and helps us. medicine as something that helps us. and weapons as something that only detracts from socioty.
best wishes
Michael Albert, Ricci, II Esq.
I agree with Mr. Ricci in that we should focus on something to do with medicine as we see a mass amount of science in a hospital. Theres the popular mass gen. hospital in boston that we could visit that i'm sure would love to get some educational and positive publicity. As far as something more specific goes. We could possibly examine how in the field of radiologic technology, we have advances like Mri's, the new software system, PAX (a digital way to view the negatives of taken x-rays. For more of a negative impact..if this type of technology continues to develop and we become able to hone radio active rays as such, could this sort of thing be used against us in warfare...maybe to disrupt electronic devices or signals. As far as other places to visit...maybe Boston University Medical Campus, as they have a well established program there. Viewing some kind of theme in surgery would be awesome as well. So hopefully this will spark some ideas or something.(sorry for the over-zealous post lol)
Have a good one everyone.

Catching the Wind and Sun Power are key to my driving question, so they should definitely be on our hit list. Any information on other renewable energy sources would be great, and we should see the electricity show just cause it’s awesome (no joke!).

Also: Erik's post rocked.
